Overview

Elberta Crate & Box Company, established in 1905 and based in Bainbridge, Georgia, is a packaging manufacturer that also operates a transportation subsidiary — Elberta Logistics International (ELI). Founded in 2015, ELI functions as both an asset-based carrier and a freight brokerage, with truck yards in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and Texas.

ELI operates more than 70 power units and over 300 trailers, providing dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and LTL freight services across the 48 contiguous states, Canada, and Mexico. The company's roots in produce packaging give it particular familiarity with agricultural and perishable supply chains, and it also serves the seafood, industrial, and military sectors.

Shippers commonly use Elberta's logistics arm for truckload and refrigerated freight, especially in the produce and food industries where the company's heritage provides relevant expertise. The combination of asset-based capacity and brokerage services allows ELI to offer flexibility for both dedicated lanes and spot market needs across North America.
